I'm not sure if everyone in the family has had the opportunity to check out our blog? We try to keep it fairly current to keep friends and family up-to-date on our lives since we're halfway around the world, and sometimes a phone call just isn't the best way to keep in touch.
I thought it's really nice of us to keep family updated with what's going on for us, but quite unfortunate that we don't have quite the same from other members of the family. I think sometimes it's taken for granted that you might have something to share with everyone else because half of the family is in regular contact with one another.
So I propose that we maintain this blog as a family to keep each other updated on what's going on in our lives. I thought it would be appropriate if each week, each of the parents and the kids could take a turn posting some pictures and some commentary on recent events in their lives. I think it could be a fun Family Home Evening, and doesn't really require a major commitment - each family would only post every 7 weeks.
Of course, everyone would be welcome to post and comment as frequently as they would like, but at least once per week it would be someone's designated turn.
I hope we can make this work. I'll put together a calendar that we can display in the side-bar indicating when each family should take their turn posting something to the blog. And don't worry about not knowing how to blog. There's nothing to know how to do, just log in to your account, choose the option to start a new post, and type away.
Anyway, happy posting!
