I have been asked multiple times when we are going to post, so here is a post from the Glover Jrs. Sorry it has taken so long. I just don’t spend as much time online since finishing my Masters in June.
An interesting thing happened recently in my household. I purchased a truck. It is a Quad-cab, Dodge Ram 1500. It is a very pretty “Cool Vanilla” color, with a powerful V8 engine. I could go into more details but suffice it to say it is a very sweet ride.
As many of you know I have been wishing and dreaming for a truck most of my adult life. It has been fun to finally have one in my driveway. The most curious thing about owning a truck in Blanding is the way I am now suddenly a citizen of the community. Until now I always assumed I was a fine upstanding member of the community of Blanding. Purchasing a truck has taught me that I was wrong.
You haven’t arrived in Blanding until you are the owner of a truck. You would not believe the number of people that have come out of the woodwork to talk to me since I purchased my truck. Everyone has noticed and just about everyone has asked me about it and congratulated me on my purchase. It is a very strange phenomenon. All these years I have lived in Blanding. Now, apparently, I belong in Blanding. It is certainly strange. I did not realize I was a 2nd class citizen before now, but apparently I was. Strange.
Needless to say, it has been a very good purchase. Along with purchasing the truck we purchased a small, used travel trailer. We have taken it out camping twice in the few weeks we have owned it. We have had some good memories already in that trailer. It is fun to have and the kids love taking it out and “roughing it.” We look forward to many more years of camping and fun with the truck and trailer. Already we know they have been worth the purchase.

I am sure there is more that I could share but I am posting this while at work, so I had better get back to work. Now I have taken my turn and you can stop worrying about my procrastination gumming up the works. Hopefully when my turn rolls around again I won’t be as slow.

Sweet ride.
Who has the next turn on this family blog? Or do we just post whenever we feel like it? I'm loving it, but I want to hear from everyone regularly!
Love,
Mother
