This is for Eryka (or anyone who wants to try digital scrapbooking)

I thought I'd give some directions for how to start digital scrapbooking. First, go to the site, www.twopeasinabucket.com. Click on the digital scrapbooking link. It's in the upper right-hand corner. On the left hand side, click on digital kits. On the digital kit page, scroll down. On the left menu, under search by, under price, click free. Several free kits will show up on the screen. Choose one, such as "i love you". I used this kit for the page of the girls in their easter dresses. On the right hand side, under Files for Download, it says Complete Kit and 7.5 MB or however many for the kit you choose.
When you click on the link, it will ask you if you want to open or save the file. Save it--I always save the zip file into My Pictures folder. Once it has saved the zip file--it takes a few minutes--I click on the zipped files. In my pictures folder, I created a new folder entitled digital scrapbook. When I choose to unzip the files, it asks where I want to save the zipped files to. I click browse, and go through my files, my pictures, and then select digital scrapbook as the destination to save.
This works for me, because now I have downloaded several kits, and I don't want them all over my pictures folder. They are easier to find in a specific folder within my pictures folder. Does that make sense.
Once you have the kit saved, you are ready to use it in your photo editing software. As I said, most people use Photoshop. I don't have that, but I have had pretty good success with my program. Essentially, you first choose your background paper, and it will automatically show up as 12x12 size. Then you insert "photos" or "pictures" and select from those same files. Often, the paper you insert will show up on the screen in a smaller size. I stretch it back out to 12x12 and then crop it. I try to add pictures and elements in order as you want them to show on the page. Occasionally, when I decide I want to layer things a little different, I right-click and select "bring-to-front" or "bring-to-back" I keep moving that layer back or forward until I have it right.
That sounds a little complicated. It is just one of those things you have to play with the software until you figure it out. I think you guys ought to try it, just to see how you like it. Especially Eryka. All of your supplies are on the computer.
Mom, I recommend that you go to www.shutterfly.com and click on photo books. They have several options for making and printing a photo book. I can show you sometime how to upload your photos and get started.
I hope that answers some of your questions about digital scrapbooking.
