9 Weeks and Counting!!!

Today was my first visit with the OB and it went really good. We found out that we are only 9 weeks along ( I was hoping more weeks had gone by) and we found out the due date which will be around August 12th  depending on how eager or not eager this baby wants to come out. Tim wasn't able to go with me but next time he will for sure. It was really neat seeing the baby move and seeing the heartbeat makes it more real now.

On a funny note they were drawing my blood and before the nurse even got started I figured out she was a student (She was real nervous and unsure about what to do not comforting to me) so she finally finds a vein ( I do have hard veins to find) and then she proceeds to slowly stick me which makes it worse for me and my fear of needles and then halfway through filling the vials up. I start feeling really nauseated and very light headed. So a bunch of nurses rush over and help me while this student asks me if she should stop even though she still has to fill 3 more vials and I was like DON'T STOP JUST FINISH UP! I didn't say it mean just in an assertive voice. It was all good after it was done but I don't think that student nurse will be comfortable drawing blood anytime soon.

For some reason blogspot won't let me upload the ultrasound but I will try later.

Love, Nancy

Hooray! I guessed you were about that far along (sorry you aren't further, I know what you mean about hoping you would be). Congratulations on seeing the baby and hearing the heartbeat, that is always a cool experience.

Too bad about the blood drawing experience. I hate that part. I hear Tim is actually really good at that, if only he could have done it for you.

I'm so excited for you guys!!! 9 weeks is great. Good luck with the morning/all day and night sickness. Hopefully you will be really lucky and only have it your first trimester. Good luck with everything.

***Sleep whenever you feel tired. This is something you can do with your first pregnancy but after that it only gets harder. So take naps and sleep in and relax whenever you feel like it.

We're so excited for you guys!!!
