After stealing Mom's painting off the wall about nine months ago, we finally got it framed. We're quite pleased with the result.

And here's the small painting we picked up in Plaza Mayor that we had framed at the same time.

With half our family spread across the country and around the world, and the other half holding down the fort in Blanding, we all come together each week to share our lives and adventures, whereever we may be.

beautiful.
are you giving the painting back to mom, or did you swipe it for yourself?
OK, so we didn't steal it. At least I don't think so. Last time I was at Mom and Dad's house, it was still on the wall. Then a few weeks later, Eryka showed up in Spain with it. I think she told me Mom gave it to her, but that could have just been her cover. . .
Mom's not near a computer right now, so I can't guarantee that this is true; but, I thought she conceded once that Drew could have the painting. I remember her at least stating that Drew had claimed it. I don't know if that means she was willing to let you have it. I think she approved the transfer of ownership, though.
Okay, now I am wondering why Drew gets to have it, didn't we all want it? I will have to ask Mom right now. Don't worry, I'll get to the bottom of this.
I am sure if anybody wants Gary Guymon to paint some more pictures of flour mill road he would love to. Just ask.
Ok, I took it....but Drew wasn't supposed to post about it and tell everyone that we have it. jk. I promise Gail forced me to take it. I'm innocent.
I love this! My children are talking to each other!! So, here's the scoop -- a couple of years ago when everyone was home for Christmas, Drew "called" the painting, and I said "Okay." Of course, then everyone else wished they had spoken first. So, yes, I have already asked Gary to paint at least one more view of the house from the front. Shall I tell him to take some more orders? I LOVE that you all have enough fond memories of the house that you want paintings of it to remind you, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU ALL!
I know I'm kind of an outsider in this conversation, but I just wanted to say (because I think it's funny) that I happened to be picking Rolos out of the candy bowl in the kitchen when Drew asked for the painting. I can attest to his request and Gail's answer in the affirmative.
