That's right: that's a picture of the newest Glover baby to join the family. OK, so you can't hardly see anything. Eryka was only 7 weeks pregnant for that Ultrasound. Not that she's that much further along now. She's now 9 weeks pregnant and she'll have her second doctor visit this week. She is really happy with the doctor she found. His offices are just two blocks away. He speaks English. He has shown more concern for Eryka, her health, and the baby's health than any other doctor she has had. She got some medicine for the morning sickness, and he prescribed some pre-natal pills and another medication that is supposed to help her hormone levels and circulation (which is good because she has really bad circulation). And from what we're told about the hospital she will deliver at, it's supposed to be a pretty ritzy place. Of course, that could just mean it's like any regular old hospital in the States (we still need to pay it a visit), but it's at least got to be better than the dump she delivered at in New York.
The newest cousing is due to arrive September 10, but knowing how our kids tend to take after their parents, that is, they're fairly impatient, the kid is likely to come a few weeks early. In the meantime, it's been lots of sick mornings for Eryka. And unfortunately for her, I'm not around much to lighten the load. I try taking Isaac to school most mornings that I can, and I take Stella with me so Eryka can get some extra sleep, but I've been pretty busy that past few weeks closing one deal and preparing the offering documents for another.
Once Eryka got the medicine to help with the nausea, we thought things might get a little easier. The stuff works, but it does it by knocking her out. So now she needs to sleep even more, and she constantly feels exhausted. At least she's not feeling sick anymore.
So we decided to celebrate Eryka's birthday a couple of days early - well, I decided to because I'm not sure I'll be around much on Monday. I bought her a George Foreman grill that has the traditional George Foreman closing grill feature and a flat griddle. I put it right to work making breakfast for the kids and Eryka, then used it again later in the day to make the kids lunch and Eryka went to try to get a haircut and do some shopping. Unfortunately, the salons were all packed, but she did come home with a new purse. I also got her some perfume - the Be Delicious stuff from DKNY. It was an easy purchase because I already knew she liked it.
We're going to a Brazilian Churrascaria tonight to celebrate with the other attorneys from work. We don't know anyone who has eaten there, but we figure we'll take a chance. We'll let you all know how it turns out.

Congratulations! I wondered when you were going to tell everyone. I am so glad you found a doctor you like, it makes everything go so much better. You are in our prayers.
