We have had a busy couple months, and when I say we I mostly mean Richie. As soon as the semester started he began rehearsing for "The Rise and Rise of Daniel Rocket". In the shoe he plays a character as a twelve-year-old bully and then a 32-year old man, so that was a good acting challenge for him. His director was also a bit of a challenge. He never really seemed to gain a vision for the show that he conveyed to the cast, so they sort of stumbled along, trying to figure out what he wanted. Rehearsals were every weeknight from 7-11 pm and Sundays from 12-4 pm. The show opened last week and I was able to go to opening night. Richie was, of course, wonderful, and it was a good little show. He was supposed to close today, but on Thursday night and Friday it rained really hard here and his theatre was flooded so they canceled a couple performances and moved them to Tuesday and Wednesday. We were all looking forward to him being done with the show and now we just have to wait a few more days. Today Richie had a matinee performance, a rehearsal for a directing class scene and auditions for four more shows. Needless to say, we are looking forward to spring break in a couple weeks and having some quality time with Daddy.
Richie has also been offered a small role in "Hamlet" that will play in New York City in late spring. He is really excited about it and he wants to do it a lot, but he may not be able to work out his schedule, with classes and possible other roles in shows at Rutgers. It could be a fantastic opportunity if it works out, so we are crossing our fingers.
We all had doctor's appointments last week and it is such a relief to finally have health coverage. Little Richie finished off his immunizations and Richie and I got general physicals. My doctor asked me when I last had a tetanus shot and recommended I get one when I told him I had no recollection of my last shot. I was VERY nervous, because I hate needles, but it wasn't bad at all; the next couple of days were worse than the actual shot, because my arm got really sore. So I guess I got a small sample of what my little boy had to go through. The doctors also recommended that Richie and I get some additional blood work to test our cholesterol and diabetes in Richie and anemia in me, so I'll have to deal with more needles I guess.
That is the update from Jersey. We love you all! His sleeve was bothering him, so he took care of the problem. He is not a slave to fashion, he makes his own trends.

We are truly relieved that you have all seen a doctor and hope that all the follow-up visits point to good health. Let us know if there is a performance which we should plan to attend! That's a sexy little off-the-shoulder look!
