This past month has been so hectic for the Worthy Glover Sr. family that we hardly know where to begin. Worthy did a singing program for a group of CEU volunteers who were doing service projects on the Navajo Reservation. They said they wanted to learn some Navajo laonguage and culture, and they had no idea what they were in for. Remember Woolajhini Biyiin and Tooty Tawt? They got the full dose, and of course, they loved it!
Eryka, Isaac, and Stella have been visiting for about 3 weeks, and it was glorious! They played with cousins, played with grandparents, went to the park, pre-school, and story hour, among other things. It seems that we never wore them out, but the opposite is certainly true. We wouldn't trade it for anything. In fact, we miss them now that they're gone.
The next project was a presentation at the Grayson Country Quilt Guild. Worthy was president of this illustrious group at one time, but our attendance has fallen off in recent years, so they wanted him to present his unique quilt design style. When they said, "We're sure he uses computer aided design, but we just need to see how he does it," we told them they were way off base -- his designs are low-tech, time intensive, one-of-a-kind originals. Of course, Gail occasionally contributes fabric-selection, cutting, sewing, quilting, and binding, so she offered to accompany him to the gathering. When it was over. and the ladies had laughed intensely, Worthy told Gail she should always help with his presentations; she makes a good "straight man"!
Gail went to San Francisco for a week on a private consulting job she is doing for a local Early Reading First Grant, and she reports that sea food on Fisherman's Wharf is just as good as ever. YUM. When she flew back in to Salt Lake, Eryka and the little Glovers met her there, and then about 2 hours later, Drew flew in to spend the weekend with his family. Since they have been separated for about 3 weeks, with another 3 weeks to go, he just couldn't stand it any longer. Isaac and Stella were so excited when they saw their dad coming down the escalator, they had to be restrained from running up to greet him. When he stepped off the escalator, they threw their arms around him, screaming, "DADDY! DADDY!." It was so precious, people in the airport were oohing over the sweetness of it.
Eryka planned a baby shower for Kd that weekend, and it was a deluxe ladies' night out. Pedicures, manicures, facials, and gourmet food kept us all entertained. Kim and Nan helped with planning and preparation, since Gail was in California, and their help was indispensable. (Thanks, girls!) Nancy and Tim surprised the guest of honor by showing up just in time from Spanish Fork. Kd got some good loot for Perkins child#3, and we think she had a good time too.
Friday, April 6th was the first annualAll-Glover-Men Golf Event. Can you believe it? Dad, Worthy, Drew, and Tim were all on the Hideout Golf Course in Monticello at the same time for the first time ever. By all accounts, scores were irrelevant, and a good time was had by all. Three of the four cheerful participants are shown below.
Life is not dull in Blanding!

It sounds like life has been really exciting lately, I am actually feeling a little jealous that I am not closer.
Great post Mom!
Yous should write more often. You have a great way with words. Thanks for the fun post.
Definitely sounds like life is busy in Blanding - I'm glad you were able to spend some time with Drew and his family. Life continues to be just as hectivc here. I'm glad all is well.

As you can tell by Gail's blog update we have been super busy this past month. I appreciate her taking time to write our family blog. As noted Gail and I go our seperate ways quite often but occasionally we hook up, and when we do, we have a great time together. I love her and appreciate all that she does to support me and tolerate my diverse interests.wwg
