I know it is not my turn, but today I was thinking of something and just wanted to mention it quickly. Do you remember the witch's hat at Walter C. Lyman Park? I don't know why I was remembering it, but that sure was a fun piece of playground equipment. After it started going I was too short to touch the ground and keep running, so I really flew. How crazy-dangerous was that toy?

Once I went with Wheelers and I remember Ryan cracked his head on that thing and he was bleeding all over the place. I was too afraid to swing on that thing after that.
I am pretty sure that after they threw that away Jeff Black's Dad retrieved it out of the garbage and put it up at his cabin on the Mountain. That was a fun thing even though it was crazy dangerous!
Wow, I don't know what made you remember that, but that sounds like a lot of fun right now. Too bad they got rid of it. You should come to Spain - we have some pretty crazy/fun/semi-dangerous playground toys at our parks here.
A couple days ago, I was at a playground with my girls. I started swinging on the swings after Olivia hopped off my lap. I swung higher and higher and soon I was having that "woop" feeling in my stomach. It was a blast. It has been way too long since I have just played like that. And speaking of the thing at Black's cabin, I once made the mistake of saying I would swing on it with some other ladies from Fifth Ward. I totally did not know what I was getting into. Since I am so light, I seriously flew straight out. In the middle of the trees. I'll take a regular swing set anyday.
