So we have been having a great summer. Two weeks ago I took a full week off work. I was needing a break and I was also freeing up some hours for my manager so we can be under budget. With our upstairs lab running slow we are trying to free hours up by taking time off, or working in other departments. Since it is no fun to work outside of the cathlab I chose to take paid time off. It was wonderful.
The first couple days off I just relaxed and got some stuff done around the home. Tuesday Nancy went to the zoo with Kd and her family. They had a good time for the short time they were there. Nancy loves the zoo and crazy stuff like that, since I don't she was lucky she had Kd and Clay to hang out with. While she was at the zoo I was test driving trucks. I really liked the Nissan Titan, but it was just so expensive. But it never hurts to look.
Then we traveled down to Blanding and spent some time with the family. We had a great time with everyone and I even got a few holes in at the golf course. I have played just about all the courses in Utah county now, and I can say without hesitation that Monticello is the funnest course to play. I really enjoyed playing with Garrett and Cole. We played guitar hero on the playstation, and we played some football at the elementary school.
The highlight of the week really was Timothy's blessing. Kd must have been trying to make me cry because she bore her testimony and told why she named her boy Timothy Tyler. I don't cry much any more, but I was touched by the spirit. Thank you Kd.
Monday of last week was Nancy's first official week off of work and school. She will be starting school soon, and we have decided she should focus on getting good grades and not trying to balance a hectic schedule. She did a ton around the house. She wants to have a yard sell soon, so she cleared out the closets and storage space. She also mowed the lawn! She gets more things done then I ever could. She hopes to sell enough stuff to get some new clothes.
While we were outside our neighbor drove up in a new Mercedes car. His other cars are mini vans, so I thought it was a bit out of place. I asked him if it was his mothers or someone Else's. He explained that he went to a dealer in Lehi that specializes in theft recover vehicles. In some states if a vehicle has been stolen it is considered a salvage title vehicle despite nothing being wrong with it. His car was perfect and is worth about $30,000, but he payed half that! He told me to look up the website. I did and I fell in love with what I saw. There were tons of great cars and trucks for great prices. The only problem is that a salvage car can't be fully ensured and some places will not finance a salvage title vehicle. But we thought we would just go check the place out.
The next day we went after I got off work. We test drove a 2005 lexus that was the funnest car I have ever driven. There was not a blemish on the car. The dealer would not be talked down in price however. So we figured that we would just wait to see another good deal later. But then I noticed that they had a Nissan Frontier advertised, and it had a clear title. We asked about the truck and they said that the owner was driving it, but we could meet up with him to test drive it. We found him in Alpine and the truck was just beautiful. We drove it around and we both fell in love. It was a four door two wheel drive 2005, and it didn't look like a little two wheel drive. Being a clear title there was no problem to find financing, and we could get full coverage insurance.
We talked them down $1000 to get a better price. The dealer said he didn't have clear title vehicles often and we actually walked off the lot with a vehicle worth $3000 more than we paid for.
I have always looked up to Worthy as my big brother, and I couldn't resist getting a truck just as he did. Just realize I have been wanting a truck for a while now myself. I didn't have to wait as long as he did, but now I need to sell one of our cars.
In the past Nancy has said she would like to live outside of Utah. Well, we took one step closer to letting that happen. I applied to be a travel nurse. I would only work in a cathlab which would make the move a lot easier. We have decided that next January we will start. I have already gotten tons of calls and tons of emails from different agencies. There are jobs available all over the place. Travel nursing is cool because you are paid double and you get housing and meals taken care of. Nurses are in such high demand that hospitals will pay as much as they can to keep the hospital staffed. Each assignment is generally 13 weeks, so we plan to do 3-4 assignments. We will keep our home. We don't want to rent it while we are gone because we don't want to deal with the hassle of being landlords that live in another state, and we don't want our house trashed. Nancy will continue her schooling online, and we hope we can have a fun adventure.
Well sorry there are no pictures we will have to put some up soon. We hope everyone is doing great.

After seeing Worthy's post about his truck, I knew it was only a matter of time before Tim followed his example. I think I'll be the only Glover boy never to own a truck. We'll see. Good luck with the job applications.
Everyone who owns a house NEEDS a truck! To say nothing of the whole Utah male identity being caught up in horsepower, hemis, valves, bedliners, etc. . . You can't escape your Utah heritage, Drew. The Murano is pretty close to a truck, you know! Congratulations on your truck, Tim. Mother
