Okay, so after 5 months of living with Mom and Dad, and lots of disappointment about building, we decided it was time to start looking for a house instead. It is scary and exciting all at once. We put an offer in on a house so these are a few pictures of it. It is a great house for a number of reasons including: it is a few blocks from the school so the kids can walk; it is closer to my work, so I can walk; it is bigger - it has 4 bedrooms 2 baths and 2 family rooms; it has an established yard with a sprinkler system, and lots of other great things. Of course it is not brand new, and it does have design issues, (like the massive stone wall/fireplace, and the wood paneling throughout the downstairs) but those issues are quite small compared to how great it would be for our family. Oh, did I mention it has a treehouse? The kids love the house and keep saying how much they want to live there. We have not told them yet that we are working on buying it, because all the paperwork etc. will take over a month and we don't need them bugging us every day. We are excited about the prospect of a house that fits our family better, but sad about leaving Mom and Dad. The kids really have enjoyed getting to know Grandma and Grandpa better, and Baby Timothy is happiest for Grandma Gail. I guess they will just have to move in with us!

Congratulations!!! We hope everything works out well.
I thought for sure you guys would build, but if you found a house that works for you, go for it! We'll keep our fingers crossed for you.
The house looks great. I sure hope it all goes through. Let me know if you need help and I will be down with Nancy's truck in a heartbeat.
It is a nice home for a lot of reasons. And, like I said, it's a good thing they didn't accept other people's offers, because this house was meant for you.
Yay!!!!!!! You'll almost be our neighbors. Congratulations.
Congrats on the new house - your family is looking as sweet as ever :)
