Slackers

Tim has passed the responsibility of posting to me because I am a stay at home mom without any children so that leaves me alot of time to post. NOT!!! Between school, homework, housework, taking care of a 185 lb kid, did I mention school & homework, traveling down to Blanding, painting our front room, trying to fit in a workout, sleeping and running errands I haven't found much time to post and that is why it is two weeks late.

For the past 2 months I have wanted to paint our living room.I have had the color scheme that I wanted but never got around to doing it. So out of the blue on Wednesday I stopped by Home Depot picked up some paint and painted the living room. Tim got home in time to help me paint the high parts because I am height challenged and too clumsy to stand on a folding chair. The color has taken me a couple days to get used to but I LOVE IT. I can't wait to hang pictures on the wall and get curtains. Just painting the living had made me really enjoy owning my house and not having to go through landlords to get permission or having to look at the color they choose.

Last Weekend I went down to Blanding to hear my brother speak in church and surprise family. I really enjoyed the party and the food. Good food + Good company= Good clean fun!! Then I went to the football game with my mom, brother and sisters. And let me tell you I know how how Britney spears feels getting hounded by paparazzi. Walking around with Justin we got stopped every 5 feet to see how he was doing, people letting him know that they loved him and were excited to see him home. One lady was like wow that mission really flew by ( she's not a member of the church) 2 years just didn't seem that long. She'll figure out the numbers soon enough. It was really cool to see people showing their love and support to him. By the end of the night we were calling him Brittney.

The next day I went to get wood with my family up on Elk Ridge. I love being up in the mountains away from the rat race of life. We had a really good time riding the four wheeler with 3 daschound dogs on it too. (they got too tired to run). I love spending time with my family and appreciate them more than I did growing up.

School is going really good. I changed my major from business management to accounting which I really love. Crazy I know but there is something so delicious about finding that last penny or having the books balanced. My kind of fun. My other classes are about as fun as going to the dentist- microeconomics, business calculus and computer class ( which isn't so bad but having taken the exact class from Steve Black who is an amazing teacher compared to a teacher who needs Ritalin makes it kinda hard to sit through). I have realized how Liberal UVSC is and it is interesting people's views on life. Without the gospel I can see how pessimistic one can be about our certain financial crisis in the US but I have faith that if things get really bad I can survive them with the help of our savior.

Other than that we are doing pretty good, we are getting really excited about going traveling and haven't made any concrete plans but somewhere warm for the winter. Tim is doing really good soon he will take his RCIS which is a big exam for something you will have to ask him about (I forgot). Life is going really good for us and we have too many blessings to name. Have a wonderful day!!!!!
