We have been extremely busy this past Christmas season between finals week, Christmas parties, Tim being on call every weekend, family activities, family visiting and traveling down to see family we are still playing catch up so sorry this is late but better late than never.
Finals week was really good two of my classes were open book, open notes and then one was a presentation and the other was a real test (no notes). When all was said and done and the worrying and stress of the grades I passed all my classes and got my first C ever. But I was so happy about that C because it was in Calculus!!!
We went to a Christmas party every week it seemed like in December. Since Tim is also a contract employee for Central Utah Clinic we where invited to their Cardiac Party. Those doctors know how to throw a party. It was located in Hobble Creek Canyon in a huge mansion that was so beautiful. The story behind the house is that the guy who owned it was a mission president in Peruguay and when he saw the poverty there he couldn't come back and live in this monterous house so he donated the house to BYU and when the general authorities come they stay there. The house can sleep 42 people, has it own basketball court, locker rooms, huge kitchen and a play land for the kids with a tree house and playground equipment. The funny thing is that BYU rents it out but you can't bring children. The dinner was great Prime Rib and all the fixings and for dessert vanilla bean Cheesecake. Yummy!
Tim's regular hospital party wasn't as exciting but the food is always good pretty much the same as the last party. Then my family always does a Christmas party but Tim lucked out and was on call. So he didn't get to eat the Meyer tradtional sloppy joes and play bingo.
Did I mention that Tim has been on call so much every weekend wow I hardly got to see him in the month of December?
Christmas was great we went down to Blanding the weekend before and had two really good Christmas Dinners from both families. It was really nice to see everyone play games and hang out but it went by way too fast!
Chrsitmas morning we woke up and lazyily opened our presents, Tim was on call so we crossed our fingers that he wouldn't get called in. Here are some pictures of our morning.
Tim got a really neat present from my parents in this huge box wa tons of little presents all wrapped and he loves to open presents. All the gifts went together as a 72 hour kit so now we are prepared for anything. We were loaded with presents from everyone so we got everything we wanted or needed. We hope everyone enjoyed the month of December as much as we did love nancy
