It has been about a month since our community lost 3 really good men. Each Sunday our Ward has to face that loss as we sit near the 3 Widows and their children. Kim Acton was my first boss. I have fond memories of the good experiences I had working as a waitress at the Elk Ridge Restaurant. He taught me many valuable work skills that I still practice today. Debbie (his wife) is Eva's Achievement Days leader. I serve with Eric Johnson's wife Denise in the Primary Presidency. We have learned to trust and rely on each other -- we are friends. I don't know how she manages to keep it together, all I can do is keep praying for her and her children. Brian and Suzy Bayles went to Institute with Clay and I. We got married within months of each other, and had our first children within months of each other. Thomas plays with their son Brock quite frequently. Suzy has proven what an amazing woman she is as she continues to bring her very young children to church every Sunday even though it is not easy. Please continue to pray for these brave families that are still struggling to face the loss of their husbands and fathers.

Kd, Thanks for personalizing the responsibility we all have for the spiritual and temporal well-being of our community members. We will continue to pray for those families, and we will seek on-going ways of giving service.
