I have strep throat, so I have been out of action all week. I havent' been to work since Monday morning. I came home Monday afternoon and crashed. I finally went to the Doctor after Nan told me I had strep throat -- she was right-- the prescription was antibiotics and lots of rest. Then last night Timothy refused to go to bed. He just stood in his crib yelling at the top of his lungs, and jumping up and down. We tried everything to get him to go to sleep, and finally at 11:00 (he normally goes to bed at 8:00) we gave up and just let him cry himself to sleep. Then he woke up at 5:00 am bawling. I admit I was pretty close to tears myself when my husband calmly said, "He obviously doesn't feel well". Being the awesome man that he is, he took Timothy to the other room so I could get a few more hours of sleep. I took Timothy to the Dr today, and they said he is fine -- maybe teething? Anyway, that is my excuse for not posting sooner, but it isn't really what I wanted to post about. I sat looking out my window tonight at the incredibly sunset highlighting the entire sky. I LOVE Blanding sunsets! They remind me that I have many blessings to be thankful for, so cliche' as it may seem, I would like to share with you some of the things I am grateful for:
- Sunday's at Grandma Gails -- great food, great company
- A wonderful home to live in. We have been in our home for just over a year, and there isn't a day that I am loving this house! It is so perfect for our family, it is so great to have adequate room for everyone. In our old (tiny) house I remember thinking "why bother?" when Clay wanted to do home improvements. In this home I am proud of each of the little changes that we do together to make this home ours, even the kids help!
- Awesome neighbors. I have neighbors that I know I could go to for anything I need. My kids are welcome and their house and vice versa. The other day one of them brought us a load of wood because he was getting some for himself and knew we needed it. How great!
- A great ward. The church is great, I am so thankful for the ward family and how they help my tesimony (and my family's) grow.
- Being able to live in Blanding. There are so many benefits to living in this tiny town in the middle of nowhere.
- Great hair. I am feeling so pretty lately thanks to Nancy. She dyed my hair brunette, and I have had so much fun with people's reactions.
Anyway

I want to see a picture of your hair! I hope you get better soon. We wish we could spend every sunday at Grandma Gail's too.
I am glad I thought to call you to ask you to watch my kids just so I could tell you that you had strep throat. And thanks for being willing, you crazy sick lady. Get feeling better. Love you.
