Here is a little something!

So I have not posted for quite a while (Tim). I decided that it was about time I shared with you all a little about my job at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center. I have loved my job and it has really been a good move. I do work quite a bit, not as much as Drew, but during this time of economic worries I am grateful to have a good paying job, even if it means sleeping at the hospital once in a while.
I have had a lot of opportunities for growth at UVRMC. One of my responsibilities is to put together presentations for different conferences. The latest task I did was put together a slide show for the Cardiac department. This is to be shown later this week as part of a Cardiac Partiac. Each year they have a party to celebrate the employees of the year, and just have a good time away from work. These are a few pictures that I obtained for the slide show, and I thought I would share them with my family so you could in a sense meet my coworkers.

Don't worry that is not a human heart. Just a pig heart.
This is the whole gang a a going away party for one of the staff. My manager is in the front middle his name is Sherwin.
This is Matt and Weston in our lab. The machine behind them is the fluoroscope unit.

When it is slow this is where we relax and mostly play on the Internet, oh I mean we study. This is Bob, John, Diane, and Paul.
This is Bob hanging out in the control room. This is where we document the case as it happens. We have leaded glass that makes it safe for us to monitor and not get exposed to the radiation.

This is John and Diane hanging out.

Well there you have it I love my job and the people I work with.

Can't wait for next month and the cruise. That is pretty much all we can think about. Nancy and I have been doing our best to be swimsuit ready. We are trying to decide what shore excursions would be the best to do. We are positive we want to do the rip line tour down the rain forest along with the cave tubing. We are excited to snorkel since Drew and Eryka bought us gear. We hope to see some ruins in Mexico, and just have a fun time getting some sun. Let us know what you guys would like to do, we would love to hear your thoughts. Gavin is doing great and continues to bless us. Nancy does a wonderful job of keeping updates on our own blog about him. Right now she is making a DVD for her Mom's birthday and it looks awesome. It is all about Gavin, and it is just fun to see how quick these kids grow up. We love you all and are always excited to read new blogs.

The pictures of you and your colleagues at work are fantastic. Thanks for letting us see into that important aspect of your life. We want you to know that we are also getting ready for the cruise -- we are giving our lazy bones a major challenge to see just how lazy we can be aboard a ship where they feed you non-stop and constantly clean up after you. Personally, I'm still working on lazy perfection, but I've got a few weeks to go yet! Maybe we'll start our own laziness fitness blog. What do you think?

Thanks for posting! Have fun on your cruise and take tons of photos to post for those of us who will still be lily-white and suffering from spring fever!!!

It's great that you love your job. Though I am not sure it was necessary to add a picture of the pig's heart. I guess I should be grateful you didn't include any pictures of massive hypodermic needles, or anything like that. Love you.
