Walk this way

Dear Family,

Sorry for the lack of posting, it's not because we don't love you or lead boring lives. It's just keeping up two blogs is alot of work when you live with a little terror. OK, so he isn't much of a terror as he is a destroyer and he loves to try to destroy our laptops. Here is what we have been up to.

Gavin has finally found the motivation to start walking. Maybe it is the fear of having Kids Who Can't, I mean count come by for early intervention. I know that we shouldn't have been worried about Gavin not walking but he had no desire to even try and scored low in the gross motor skills at the Dr. office. It was also frustrating to have people ask us what was wrong with him because he should be walking by now and to watch kids younger than him walk around. But after having the first consultation with Kids Who Count, Gavin has picked up walking super fast and now has a desire to try. It was also nice for a professional tell Tim & I that we were doing everything we could and doing a good job as parents {we fooled her}.

Here is a short video of him walking which is more of a speed walk than anything. He is going to be a sprinter we just know it.

Besides getting help with walking they {KWC} suggested we get Gavin off of the bottle to help him with talking. If you been around Gavin you know he is a babbler but it sounds like gibberish but ever since we quit giving him a bottle he has been talking more coherently.

Some of the words he can say now are: shoes, night night, woof, whoot whoot, oops, huh, ball, balloon, banana, outside & the regular ones too.

Now onto us boring parents.

Tim has been super busy at work but has also had some really nice chunks of time off. We were recently called to work in the nursery in the third hour. So now Tim has two callings {Elder's Quorum Secretary} & I have one. Tim revived his Xbox from the red ring of death by taking it apart and replacing some parts costing him $5.

I recently was sought out to come work at a salon here in Spanish Fork. With Tim's schedule I would only be able to work twice a week and the owner wanted the salon to be more of booth rent than commission. Something that I didn't have the clientele to do right now with only working limited hours. So I didn't take it but I might be working with the owner in a different direction but we will see. Other than that my life is kept busy by a rambunctious and very curious toddler.

Love always,

Nancy oxoxo
